Transformers opening scene review

once the movie starts there is a powerful narrative voice explaining the current situation that the earth is in. This voice is not a sinister voice so I automatically assumed that this voice could have maybe been Optimus prime, the only way I know character names is through the cartoon that were shown on television before the films release. There is White credits upon a black background before the non-diagetic narration begins. Then the cube becomes introduced into the story line, the cube is shown falling down to planet earth gathering some speed. You instantly know that the film is going to be a sci-fi as it has talks about outer space, and the cube comes from space so it is going to have some sort of out-of- space relation. The naration tells the audience about a deep feud between the two armies of robots, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons both with very different views, this was a very important aspect to the film as there may be people in the audience who may not have seen any of the transformers cartoons previously. The narration also includes on how earth gets involved in this anctient battle between the gigantic robots.
